This is great new and will annoy many professional archaeologists who tend to like their ivory towers.

Subject: [Stones] Ronnie Simison MBE
For those of you who do not know, Ronnie Simison is the guy who
excavated Tomb of the Eagles, Liddle, South Ronaldsay, Orkney, in the
mid 1970s. He discovered the Tomb in 1958. It has just been announced
that he has been awarded the MBE for his services to Archaeology and
more! He is now 86 years old. It is a great shame that his wife, Morgan,
who died twelve years ago, did not live to see this. She was also a
driving force behind it all.

Our new website is now up and running so all details are there, if you
have not heard of us. I am lucky enough to be working there for my
second season now as tour guide, shop worker, cleaner and whatever else
needs doing. Come and visit us if you have not already done so and if
you happen to be on the islands!
Merryn
