other groups as possible to mount a campaign to make serious fuss in the
media about all this.
Ultimately the government has signed up to protecting World Heritage
Sites, they should be doing so and are not. If enough pressure could be
applied they might decide they didn't like Kennet Council's decision. EH
seem to be being rather flabby in their responses to all this.
A serious media campaign ought to be able to embarrass Kennet Council
enough so that they would think twice before doing such a thing again
and might perhaps get the attention of the government. However time is
slipping away fast. If this doesn't get of the ground now the media
won't be interested.
