Well strengthen your moral calibre and say no, think of all that land that lies behind the garage which is a caravan park, think of "thin end of the wedge", and think of developers whose only motivation is money. ;) Still there seems to be a lot of organisations against the scheme - EH, NT, the Avebury Soc, the WHS officer, and ICOMOS-UK, so perhaps it won't happen .....
