Yeah! Weird indeed! But that's what I particularly like about
rockart...

it
might have to do with depicting something seen in the sky. Like a sky
burst (concentric rings) that might occur when a comet enters the
earth's atmosphere. Mike Baillie writes about comets at several times in

the past (From Exodus to Arthur) and there appears to have been a major
event c2345BC.

Has anyone else read Mike's work? Any ideas on this?"

I've not read any of Mike's works, but am a little sceptical about the
description of the sky burst...

For one thing - how common are these and have any visible ones ever been
reported? And another thing - there are so many cup and ring/concentric
ring markings in Britain alone, that if this were the case, the sky
would have been full of them at one time! ;)

I've seen a few (but not many, admittedly) comets, and have never seen
anything I would relate to rockart.

But again - the beauty of this stuff is that we really don't know what
it means! So one theory is as valid as the next. :)

nice :) it's odd - looks like a 'cup and ring' design,
but those deep, parallel grooves running across it ...
and those 'dice dots' - ?

weird?
