In so much as English Heritage were so slow off the mark I'd have to agree with you there Ric.

I'm almost past the point of allocating blame - though if you look around there are enough in this sorry saga to blame. I think what really comes across at this point is just what an extraordinary feat of engineering Silbury is. Built with loving hands and antler picks more than 4000 years ago she still stands testimony to the dreams of our forebears.

If she can survive this she can survive anything.
