[Stones] Batch Convert jpg to tif / chat list

Forgive me if I seem a pest, but I hope to help here.

Generally speaking, the "formats," such as TIF and JPG, can be either RGB or
CMYK, which are "modes."

RGB stands for Red-Green-Blue, which is the color system of a computer
display. Very typically, a digital camera takes its photos in RGB mode, and
it is often used in Web images.

In the printing trades, the most common color printing method uses
Cyan-Magenta-Yellow-Black (abbreviated CMYK). This is a mere Image-Mode menu
change in PhotoShop and could be done in the batch processing stage with
almost no extra trouble. Depending on where you got them, perhaps some of
your images already ARE in CMYK mode, but it is usually necessary to make
sure.

It could save someone some time as the job progresses through the pre-press
process, and there is an outside chance that it might save the client
(possibly you?) from an up-charge. At a lot of printing companies, if you
submit images in RGB they charge you fees to make this simple conversion to
CMYK.
