This sequence looks as though it ought to be on the 'Stones Chat' list ...
However, I would vouch for the comment about Serif - all my books (up to 176 pages ilustrated) are put together on PagePlus which converts them to pdf that a commercial printer can use. The once that someone showed me industry-standard Quark Express I hated it. And I've not yet found anything that others can do on Photoshop, that I want to try, that I can't also do on much cheaper PhotoPlus.

Further to my previous, I use Serif products as a matter of course (PagePlus, PhotoPlus, DrawPlus etc) and, having checked, they are not compatible with Linux (or the Mac for that matter!). So a change would require (a) a major financial investment, and, probably, (b) another learning curve, which I can do without.
It's grim up North - particularly on the pension.
