Further to my previous, I use Serif products as a matter of course 
(PagePlus, PhotoPlus, DrawPlus etc) and, having checked, they are not 
compatible with Linux (or the Mac for that matter!). So a change would 
require (a) a major financial investment, and, probably, (b) another 
learning curve, which I can do without.

It's grim up North - particularly on the pension.
