Thanks Thelma -

i once found a reference on the internet, i think, to
'Lleyn Peninsula: setting for the Mabinogion Tales'
which had me perplexed for some time - possibly this?

http://tinyurl.com/2lg23z

or

http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/history/sites/myths_legends/pages/mabinogion_fourth_branch.shtml

but when you study the text, the only direct reference
to 'Penllyn' concerns Goronwy - and the mythical stone
is anyway identified with the Cynfal again ...

but thanks for identifying Ellis as a 'Pen Llyn
Mabinogion', source - i shall look out his work with
interest :)

bests,

Ric
