i am heartened by the news - strange though, when i
wrote to the FC complaining about several acres of
mixed woodland they had 'harvested' in Dorset - a
much-loved local wood - i received no postive reply to
my question about the need to preserve and manage
deciduous woodland ~ so it sounds like the FC need
some improved PR for their image? 

my support for healthy woods is 100% - fully paid up
member of the Woodland Trust ;)
