[Stones] Early morning parking at Avebury

Hi Tim.

I think the main car-park will be open but you have to pay there. The small car-park on the High Street (opposite the Henge Shop) has a sign saying it's for residents only but visitors park there all the time (free of charge). There are a couple of spaces by the church but they may be full being a Sunday. There's also a small lay-by at the bottom of the Avenue - if you park there and walk up Waden Hill you'll be rewarded with a spectacular view of Silbury.

Best place is probably the Red Lion; last time I was there you had to pay the meter but it's very reasonable, and if you buy something at the pub later you'll get the parking fee reimbursed.
