I belatedly add my congratulations and thanks to Chris - I've been away from 
the computer for a week but spotted a host of 'Before we were so rudely 
interrupted...' posts when having a quick glance at incoming mails at a free 
internet facility in a Windermere cafe.

Yes, I've been back to the English Lakes for the first time in (I hate to 
admit it ) 17 years - and of course a visit back to Castlerigg on a bright 
morning after a night of heavy rain was a must. Downloading about 5 GB of 
autumn colours photos is the next task now that I'm home !

There was another bearded photographer with camera and tripod at Castelrigg 
and I thought .. I recognise you ... and had a brief but interesting chat 
with Francis Pryor. He was taking photos for a possible new book.
