Oooh - you're all still in here then! :^)

Sorry, I know I don't get around in here as much as I should -  
hopefully you've all been chatting away nicely since last I was here  
and I've not heard any complaints for a while (why do I have to go  
and say these things?).

Just thought I'd drop a quick line in here to say that the forums on  
my site are back up and running after a two month hiatus caused by  
the cursed spammers. It took me a while to find a forum package that  
I was happy with and then get everything migrated across and tidied up.

I've put it back online today, linked from the main menu on my site :  
http://www.prehistoric.org.uk/ . Note that the URL is different so in  
the unlikely event that any of you actually had the thing bookmarked,  
best to go to the URL above, click on the forum button and bookmark  
again.

Note that initially I have configured a requirement for me to  
manually confirm any new user registrations, but anyone who has  
previously registered there *should* still find their account in  
place. It is possible that I've accidentally zapped some valid user  
accounts, so if that happened to you - my humble apologies. Those  
spammers left me with a lot of mess to clear up.

Just hoping that the new package keeps them at bay a little longer!  
Nothing is going to stop it completely of course, but keeping it  
manageable would be nice.
