It’s a lovely pub with nice food…  Beautifully located…
 
Haven’t been there for a while – maybe a return visit is in order!  :o)

The Barge Inn at Honey Street, Alton Barnes (15-20 minute drive to
Avebury). No rooms but plenty of space to camp (under canvass or in a
campervan). Right by the canal and some music festivals in the summer.
 
 Sounds a good place to camp, might get out the tent.  The Barge Inn was
on TV last night, looked very cosy inside.... great centre for crop
circle people apparently, maps galore ;)
