The use of the word "massacre" for 14 bodies seems a little over the top, what is just as interesting is the following statement....
The research also indicates that the use of Neolithic long barrows was short-lived - and did not take place over hundreds of years as previously thought.
Now that gives pause for thought....why go to all that trouble to haul massive stones,and dig tons of earth and then give it up. Unless the two statements are connected and there was large scale massacres of peace loving Neolithic folk by more aggressive modernisers....;)
