I went broadband with Tiscali - one modem, no hassle, seems to work! 
It's completely changed the way I use the net, but that may have more to 
do with a pre-paid sub for unlimited access. I can now stop in the 
middle of a bit of work and just go and find some really boring bit of 
planning guidance or policy whenever I need it - such fun :) Broadband 
is good, do it.
