if we 'leave Avebury alone' it will remain the outdoor
museum piece it has become since the Establishment
decided to arbitarily turn it into a time-capsule from
1939, when the on-going programme of restoration
ceased?

this is sadly ironic, because i know that you do not
favour the 'bottled Avebury preserve' variety served
up to the public, this last 60 years, but your
sentiments could and possibly would be seized upon by
those wishing to further frustrate any attempt to
recommence restoring Avebury, for whatever reason or
hidden agenda that they may well have?
