I personally feel that the glass bricks, although hideously mid-20th century
fashion. do allow more light into the longbarrow and should be left there.
What would be better? A clear sheet of double-glazing? Leave it as is, as
every change causes more damage to the original structure.
As for Stonehenge, would "restoring" the site to its pre-1960's state (many
stones lying flat due to deliberate damage in previous centuries) be an
improvement? Hardly.
Newgrange: again for the same reason, let it be.
