(Apologies for cross-posting)
I'm delighted to present this unique piece of detailed work on my website:
Dowsing for Patterns of the Past - The Stone Circles of Aberdeenshire by
Rev. Angus Haddow.
Please read my introduction, and then, at the bottom, if interested,
follow the link to the contents page.
Every blessing,
Tim
(I am currently on 'no mail' on many lists due to weight of projects, so
if you are seeking to reply to me in person, best go direct to me, or CC
my email address into the reply, as I may not see your mail. Ta :o) ).
Whatever one may think of dowsing, ley lines, energy grids and such
like, their link with stone circles and standing stones is inescapable
for many.
When the possibility of hosting Reverend Haddow’s work and research on
my website came up, I jumped at the chance. Well thought out
presentation and documentation of such things linked to earth mysteries
is rare. Even rarer is for it to originate with a Christian Minister.
Revd Haddow had sought to get the work published in print, but given the
work’s specialist nature, and (no pun intended) parochial limitations,
finding a publisher was difficult. Revd Haddow approached The Megalithic
Portal (which I have helped with since its inception), enquiring where
to publish his material. Given my passion for prehistoric monuments,
hunger for forteana and earth mysteries, as well as my blend of
spiritual sympathies, seeking to host this research seemed a natural choice.
I hope nothing of Revd Haddow’s work is lost in my presenting it on the
web (all 60+ diagrams have been scanned and edited to best fit in with
the parameters of the website). On the contrary, it is hoped to be a
positive contribution to the body of opinion and knowledge for this
area, presented to the global audience of any folk so interested in such
matters.
Inclusion on my website neither implies my entire nor partial agreement
with the contents. Even if one does not agree with the notion of ley
lines as understood in the dominant modern sense, or energy grids, et
al, it is hoped something of value will be gained from this work.
Tim Prevett, 18th July, 2007.
Dowsing for Patterns of the Past is an original piece of writing by Revd
