Is this a wind-up?

I thought it was fair to ask the question about what constituted
respect. If a pair of tv presenters do this or anything else then you it
seems feel it shows no respect. You are possibly right, but they did get
the permission of the landowners who are an archaeological trust. If the
same thing was done by people who do respect the site for religious
reasons to "reclaim" the site for the Goddess - and stranger things have
happened - then surely an almost identical act would respect the site
and would have logically to be condoned by those who at present are
complaining so loudly.

Can one or other of those who are clearly so affronted explain why they
are? It seems quite clear that there is no evidence that there has been
any significant damage to the site , or someone would have produced it
by now.

So what's this really all about. Is it because some people now think
they have some sort of rights of "ownership" of the site because they
have a set of beliefs that make them more enlightened about it?

Let's have a bit more factually based discussion in which each side
makes its arguments properly and less hysteria and name calling please.
