"I said that if a bunch of radical feminists did it AND NOT T&S then some people might feel differently about it."
I doubt it, people didn't feel that way when Fathers for Justice climbed Stonehenge - there was a general outcry from both the pagan and heritage communities. The bottom line is that a commercial TV stunt took place at the Longman that has offended people both in the pagan community and outside it, and over 200 of those people feel so offended by the stunt they have signed a petition - surely that counts for something (though you and a few others on this thread seem to be glossing over it).
Funny isn't it, that when the Church and churchgoers are offended and complain about Sony's recent computer game set in Manchester Cathedral they are able to wring an apology out of the company within days. When a similar complaint is raised by the pagan community (re: the Longman) they have to fight tooth and nail for their voice to be heard (let alone get an apology) from ITV - care to venture an opinion on why that should be?
By the way, asking the, "Council for British Archaeology list if anyone there thought any damage had been caused." is commendable. I assume you asked those archaeologists how may had been to the Longman since the stunt took place, and that you will also be asking the same question to the relevant conservation/heritage bodies.
