the Long Man [Longman?] has always seemed a bit of an
outsider to me, and i am content to leave him at that:
who exactly were the gods and goddesses of the British
Isles: we have imperial Rome and its Church to thank
for our cultural amnesia? history is also the brick
wall many of us beat our heads against, trying to gain
a clearer glimpse of the past? Even more reason to
hang on to our ancient sites, with both hands.
