We need to protect our ancient sites, because history
is vital, it is ultimately truth: even the sad 'folly'
in the grounds of Old Wardour Castle in Wiltshire,
ultimately leads us back to a vanished stone circle
near Tisbury, where several of the folly's stones were
robbed from, 300 years ago; it is in the interest of
so many to subvert historical truth, especially in
this modern age of rising fundamentalism - on all
sides - and incessant political 'spin', which i liken
to the spider spinning its prey
