not really; i just wondered if there were a connection
between stones used for cooking and stones apparently
deliberately shattered for this feature, of which i do
not know the function?

yes, there is more than one agency responsible for
shattering stone but we only have the findings of the
archaeologists to go by, to date, and they seem to
suggest these stones have been heat-shattered?
