'Manchester University's Julian Thomas said that rather than just focusing on Stonehenge as something in isolation, we're seeing the way in which it relates to a whole landscape', which is what EH and NT need to wake up to ~ Stonehenge and Avebury are not just nice touristy circles to pretty up, the entire visible landscape surrounding them was sacred, including their respective watercourses and woefully neglected avenues.
