[Stones] Visiting US Prehistoric Sites

Congratulations Tim -

Four Corners is practically my favourite part of the states (and I've
seen loads), possibly because it is so foreign to where I grew up
(New England - the north east) - the others being northern Utah (Moab
area - Arches National Park), Yellowstone (Wyoming), Yosemite
(California), and Bryce and Zion Canyons (National Parks in southern
Utah).

Not just desert, but high desert - mostly over 4,000 feet above sea
level, and quite a lot around 6,000 or so.

Drink water, obviously - I've heard it said one should piss clear at
least once each day, and you'll be hard put to accomplish that - and
the sun, Icarus, the sun.... Plus layered clothing for those day/
night temperature shifts. What time of year are we talking?

Canyon de Chelly ('de shay') has horseback riding tours available.

If I can remember the name of my favourite little canyon with cliff
dwelling ruins I'll pass it along - been ages since I was out that
way - it's been on the tip of my tongue for weeks...

You'll have a great time. Just shake out your boots and such before
donning them (in case of scorpions - good advice in a large part of
the world, and will do no harm anywhere else).
