Here is an odd discovery that I just came across when looking for more info
on the Abnaki tribe, a New England Algonquin tribe (spelled in various ways
such as Abernacky, Abenaki etc.). I have no further info:

Touring the Green Mountain State along US 2, you might head toward
Montpelier, easily the nicest state capital city in the nation. Small and
friendly, Montpelier reflects Vermont¹s mellow vibe and Yankee practicality.
However, the place to stay lies back east near St. Johnsbury. Driving past,
you may spy rows of plastic chairs and a set of quaint yellow and white
cabins overlooking Joe¹s Pond: Injunjoe Court. With her family, Beth
Perreault maintain the tiny but immaculate court and spin yarns about the
Abernacky Indian who used to guide people through the area. The Court earned
its name because, ³rumor has it that Injun Joe used to sleep on the hill.²
