Vidar,
Thanks for creating the fascinating pages. It's very interesting that
you mention Gotland. My friend and fellow Portaler Jim C went to a day
of talks in Brighton a few weeks ago organised by the Antiquarian
Society. One of the speakers was talking about archaeoastronomy and
showed slides of some stones in Gotland.
These stones were quite small but had many grooves cut in the top. I
hadn't seen these before. The speculation is that they are astronomical
alignments. Do you know anything about these?
Did you record GPS long/lats for any of the sites you visited? We are
compiling a global database of site locations and photos.
