Coincidentally almost went there Thursday morning but decided on Wayland's Smithy instead. I think the barrows are quite easy to find - take the Swindon road out of Marlborough and the turning to Aldbourne is a few miles along. Its a linear barrow cemetery - 3 bell barrows and a bowl, theres a second barrow cemetery on the other side of the valley... Wayland's Smithy was gorgeous in the autumn sun...

Aldbourne Four Barrows was used in Doctor Who, for the opening scenes of
the classic Jon Pertwee episode The Daemons, when the barrow is opened.
"The Doctor becomes alarmed on seeing television coverage of an
archaeological dig by a Professor Horner into an ancient barrow near the
village of Devil's End. He hurries to the scene with Jo."
