Well... The circle was being visited quite a number of years ago by 
people intent on putting a fallen stone back up!

The circle in question is a tad odd because of mining activity having 
caused a hollow on one side - so stones there have certainly been put 
back up before. It was one of those that had fallen and was being 
quietly put back up without telling anyone very much. Picture the scene 
- just as that stone was being put back upright small child grabs 
mother's arm and says "Mummy a stone has fallen over". Mummy replied "I 
know dear that's why we're putting it back up". "But Mummy a stone has 
fallen over"... I wasn't there myself but I'm told that those that were 
didn't know whether to laugh or not. The circle is OK and the child is 
now much taller - er - grown up really.
