[Stones] Trial again

Hi all:

Thank you Littlestone, I knew some kind person would respond
accordingly! A few weeks back my lovely little Advent Notebook gave me
an unexpected but quite thrilling demonstration of spontaneous
combustion, a particularly melting performance. By the grace of the
spirit of belt and braces, I was covered for this event by my CIS
Household Insurance policy (may their shadow never grow less), but the
inevitable processing meant that my NEW Advent Notebook didn't become
operational until I was on my way to Spain for my pointless examination
of stoney things in the Alicante area. Having now returned to the real
world, I am desperately trying to unlock the secrets of my old address
book, so far without much success. Hence my extravagant trial to see if
the Stones thingy worked. So ta again.

For Andy Norfolk and those other kind folk who responded to my quest for
gardening advice, I got home expecting that my tender seedlings would
have died of thirst in the hot summer sun (I planted them out before
travelling). You probably don't find that funny. ROFLLH.

I hope to be in Scotland next week but one, but am unlikely to make
Callanais. For those of you who do go, but haven't been before, DO NOT
(repeat) DO NOT fail to visit the Atlantic beaches of Harris. The sea,
the sand, the machair, the flowers. It is as close to Paradise as one
can get without actually having to die to get there.

Thank you all for your patience.
