[Stones] Anglo-Saxon apartheid

Efficiently restricting intermarriage for a whole four hundred years seems  
quite a feat in itself but i bet they didn't restrict interbreeding. I speak as 
 one whose gt grandmother lived in a poor canalside cottage but may have  
been looked at more than favourably by the Earl of Dudley, so I'm acutely aware  
of how ones family can progress from tramps to toffs in quite a short  time.
