Wasn't the part of Lord Summerisle actually written for him? Anyway, I have to say that seeing him lead the procession is somehow one of  the most sinister images in my mind from a movie.

Yup, the whole thing was pretty sinister. Believe it or not I only saw the movie for the first time about a year or so ago. I think I heard that it was Christopher Lee's favourite movie/role on the Michael Parkinson show on BBC Radio 2 a couple of weeks ago. The new movie is going to have to work pretty hard to beat the original :-)
