... Why not? We apply it to governments that go to war. Indignance seems a  
proper response. They COULD leave - they've "gifted land adjacent to the  
Northern Henge to the nation"  (translated as "given up and left") already.  Had 
George's mum and Dad never met, they might not have.

Could well be, we aren't daft. But I dispute that "the writer is  wasting all 
their energy being indignant that the other side is spinning the  truth to 
suit their message." Tarmac think it worthwhile to portray themselves  as having 
a "friendly neighbour policy" towards their victim communities. We  think 
it's worth showing their other face. There's a calculation to be made that  there 
comes a point where negative publicity outweighs the commercial  benefits - 
no-one can say where that point is but its worth trying to get there.  Tarmac 
doesn't have a monopoly on PR luvvies or strategic thinking.
