Providing what is basically an information 'portal' to ancient sites and campaigning tirelessly for the protection of some of those sites (Thornborough in George's case) are two completely different things. The former relies on the contributions of numerous subscribers, generally sitting in the comfort of their PC armchairs after interesting field trips; the latter on the tireless dedication of a few dedicated campaigners who camp out in all weathers and battle endlessly against incompetent bureaucrats and powerful businessmen; please do not confuse the two - they are worlds apart.

I look forward to hearing from Andy what he, personally, has done to protect ancient sites; if he can't do that he should withdraw his unwarranted criticism of George and his work.
