Nice meeting you on Saturday ric.

Mrs Dixon's B&B usually has vacancies if you call up a couple of weeks beforehand (festival times excepted that is when you probably need to book well in advance). I was really lucky as I'd left it a week before the Meet before booking and she had just one room left. There are three rooms altogether with one shared bathroom. The front bedroom has a spectacular view of Silbury, and Room 1 at the back has a view of the Adam and Eve stones - specify which room you'd like when you book. It's a simple B&B but nice and clean with plenty of towels in your room and tea/coffee making facilities there as well. Mrs D's full English breakfasts are great and are taken in the kitchen. Her husband John is usually 'in attendance' doing the tea and coffee and gets scolded by Mrs D if he's not up to speed :-) Other guests are always interesting and on Sunday morning I shared the breakfast table with a young Swiss couple who'd driven over to see Avebury and Stonehenge; it's always nice to
suggest other places in the area that people might otherwise miss. Mrs Dixon's number for anyone interested is 01672 539588.

thanks. sounds ideal - last time i investigated this b&b the owners appeared to be in the middle of drastic renovations and to have gone away, at the same time? - i really am looking forward to staying here one day!
